Important Digital Certificates Announcement

On the Sunday the 17th of May, there will be a thawte maintenance downtime at 4:45 UTC ~ 12:45 pm Malaysian Standard Time (MST). During the downtime you will not be able to create new orders or manage existing Digitial Certificate orders. However, all existing orders will continue to function smoothly.

Details of the Downtime Window:

Date: 17th of May, 2009
Time: 04:45 UTC - 10:00 UTC (12:45pm MST - 6:45PM MST)
Estimated Duration: 6 hours 15 minutes
Affected Systems: thawte Digital Certificates

• You will not be able to create new orders during the downtime
• Existing orders will continue to function normally but you will not be able to manage the product during the downtime

This maintenance is being carried to further strengthen the security provided by thawte Digital Certificates. Already touted as one of the most secure certificates in the market, this update will only go further in staying one step ahead of the ever changing security landscape.

How will this change affect you?

All DNS records will continue to function without any hindrance whatsoever. During this maintenance process, customers will not be able to manage their Managed DNS Packages. They will not be able to add new records or modify existing records and renewal or deletion of Managed DNS packages will also not be possible.

Please note that Domain Names using Managed DNS will function smoothly and all existing records will be active.

You do not need to make any modifications for this maintenance process.
